Receiving your child support payment by debit card - ReliaCard / Visa.
If you do not sign up to receive your child support payments through direct deposit into your bank account or qualify for an exemption*, you will be issued the ReliaCard to access your payments. The ReliaCard is a type of debit card that can be used to get cash, make purchases, or pay bills.

If you are issued a ReliaCard, it will come by mail from U.S. Bank. U.S. Bank will also send instructions on how to activate your card. You must activate the card before it can be used.

More information can be found in the ReliaCard section of the FAQ page.

* If you cannot receive payments electronically and think you qualify for an exemption, refer to Electronic Support Payments Exemption Request.
